Costco Chicken Salad Linked To E. Coli
If you bought chicken with item number 37719, trash that container right now.
Cases of E. coli have been found in Costco's chicken salad in Montana, Colorado, Utah and Washington. Four cases were confirmed in Colorado and all those who contracted the disease have recovered.
The Center for Disease Control stated, "The epidemiologic evidence available at this time suggests that rotisserie chicken salad made and sold in Costco Wholesale stores in several states is a likely source of this outbreak".
Costco is removing their rotisserie chicken salad from its shelves in response. Stay safe and if avoid the delicious chicken salad they offer for the time being.
